About the Provider
Tara Lateef, MD, MPH, completed her undergraduate education at University of Chicago and her medical training at Northwestern University School of Medicine. She then started her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, finishing her residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Lateef also completed a pediatric neurology fellowship at Children's National Hospital. During that time, she obtained a master’s degree in public health (epidemiology track) at George Washington University.
Dr. Lateef's clinical interests include general child neurology with a special interest in childhood headache syndromes. She spends 40% of her time as a clinical researcher at the National Institutes of Health, in the Branch of Genetic Epidemiology at the National Institute of Mental Health. She has a keen interest in environmental triggers and comorbidity of migraine, particularly with mental health conditions.
