Michelle Udine, MD, is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist at Children’s National Hospital and assistant professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University. She completed medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School followed by pediatrics residency and chief residency year at the University of Alabama Birmingham. She completed her training in pediatric cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging at Children’s National. She specializes in fetal echocardiography, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac MRI and CT. Her research interests include improving the outcomes of fetuses and children diagnosed with congenital heart disease, the impact of socioeconomic disparities on congenital heart disease outcomes and the use of multimodality cardiac imaging and fetal cardiovascular MRI to improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
