About the Provider

Meryl Ludwig, MD, is a board-certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeon and the medical director of the Sports Performance and Motion Analysis Lab at Children’s National Hospital. In this role, she leads interdisciplinary efforts to advance the use of motion analysis in diagnosing and determining treatment plans for complex gait disorders.

Dr. Ludwig earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her orthopaedic surgical residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.  She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.

Dr. Ludwig is recognized as a “Top Doctor” by Washingtonian magazine and is committed to advancing pediatric orthopaedic care through innovation, education and research.
