About the Provider

Martha Perry, MD, is a board-certified adolescent medicine specialist with expertise in the medical management of multiple complex health issues faced by adolescents including eating disorders and substance use disorder. She can offer all methods of reversible contraception including nexplanon and IUD placement. She provides care for menstrual problems, such as painful or heavy menstrual periods, premenstrual syndrome and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She completed her residency at the Boston Combined Program in Pediatrics and then Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Most recently, she was the founding chief of the Adolescent Medicine Section at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her research and education interests include adolescent consent and confidentiality as well as access to care, particularly to meet reproductive and sexual health needs.
