About the Provider
Justine Larson, MD, has dedicated her career to increasing access to behavioral health care for youth and their families through systems change. After receiving her medical degree at Harvard Medical School, she completed her adult residency at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Program and her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She has worked in a variety of settings including academic settings such as Johns Hopkins, as well as as a county medical director for Arlington County and a consulting psychiatrist at a large federally qualified health center. She has also worked in federal policy at the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration.
Prior to coming to Children's National, Dr. Larson was the medical director at Sheppard Pratt schools and residential treatment. She is active in national organizations and has published articles on topics related to systems of care and provision of services. She has given numerous presentations on topics such as school-based services and systems of care.
