Hemalatha Srinivasalu, MD, is an attending physician at the division of rheumatology at Children’s National. Dr. Srinivasalu is the program director of the pediatric rheumatology fellowship and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, GW University School of Medicine. She is USSONAR-certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound.

She specializes in managing autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders such as lupus, juvenile arthritis, juvenile dermatomyositis and periodic fever syndromes. Her research interests include Juvenile Spondyloarthritis, PFAPA and Sjogren’s disease. Dr. Srinivasalu has presented her work at various national and international conferences. She has several publications in peer reviewed journals and serves as a peer reviewer for various journals. 

She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance and Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network.
