Christina Thomas, PhD

Christina (Tina) Thomas, PhD, holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and completed advanced postdoctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology. She is a pediatric neuropsychologist in the Division of Neuropsychology at Children’s National and an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Services.

Dr. Thomas specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents and young adults with neurological, medical and developmental conditions. She focuses on on understanding how these conditions affect successful functioning at home, school and in the community.

Her clinical expertise includes pediatric brain tumors, hematologic and oncologic conditions such as leukemia and lymphoma, and genetic disorders including neurofibromatosis type 1. Her clinical and research work focuses on the neurocognitive and adaptive outcomes of pediatric hematology-oncology populations, with particular interest in identifying factors that influence long-term functioning and facilitating successful transitions to adulthood.
