Cameron Hinkel, MD, joined the Urology program at Children's National Hospital in November 2024. Dr. Hinkel graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in biomedical engineering before completing his medical training at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He completed his urology residency training at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, followed by a two-year fellowship in pediatric urology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University in Atlanta. His interest in pediatric urology stems from the range of surgical and non-surgical treatments available to children for a wide variety of routine and complex problems of the genitourinary tract. He uses current, modern technology to improve quality of care. He practices general pediatric urology with a focus in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery as well as endourology and stone disease.
