Neuropsychologist

Caitlyn Cap, PsyD, is a pediatric neuropsychologist in the Division of Neuropsychology at Children’s National Hospital and an assistant professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Cap completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at La Salle University in Philadelphia before joining Children’s National for a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology. Now as an attending, Dr. Cap specializes in assessing children, adolescents and young adults with a variety of neurological, complex medical and developmentally based difficulties that affect academic, social, behavioral and emotional functioning. Her specialized clinical interests include pediatric brain tumors, blood disorders including leukemia and lymphoma, and genetic disorders such as neurofibromatosis type 1. Dr. Cap also conducts intervention and implementation research, specifically targeting executive and adaptive function difficulties in various medically-complex pediatric populations.
