Anupama Rao Tate, DMD, MPH, is professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is a faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at Children's National where she serves as the director of oral health advocacy and faculty development. She currently serves as vice president to the board of directors for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the advisory board of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's Pediatric Oral Health Research and Policy Center and a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Tate has previously served as a member on the review committee on pediatric dentistry education for the Commission on Dental Accreditation. She has previously served as a member of the executive committee on the Section on Oral Health for the American Academy of Pediatrics. She previously held the position of division chief and residency program director for the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at Children's National.

Dr. Tate received her dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and her Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Children's National. She is involved in teaching, clinical practice and research, and holds grants in community advocacy.
