Anitha John, MD, PhD, is an adult congenital heart disease specialist who sees patients at the main campus in Washington, D.C. She is one of a handful of physicians with subspecialty training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, which she completed at the Mayo Clinic. Prior to this, Dr. John trained in both internal medicine and general pediatrics at Brown University and then subsequently completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research is focused on clinical outcomes in congenital cardiology. She has a joint appointment at Children’s National Hospital and Washington Hospital Center.
