Alexandra M. S. Corley, MD, MPH, FAAP, is a board-certified general pediatrician at Children's National Hospital. Dr. Corley currently serves as the medical director at the Children's National Shaw Metro location. She completed her doctor of medicine degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She went on to complete pediatrics residency at Children's National Hospital and stayed on as a chief resident. Dr. Corley completed a general academic pediatrics fellowship / master's in public health at Children’s National and George Washington University, with a focus on epidemiology, biostatistics and health services research.
She is passionate about excellent pediatric primary care, addressing unmet social needs, and mentoring the next generation of health professionals. Dr. Corley strives to take a "whole child, whole family" approach in her clinical work. In addition to her clinical service, Dr. Corley is a health equity researcher. Her focus is on finding ways to leverage the strengths of the primary care setting to help close health equity gaps for families from marginalized backgrounds. She has a particular interest in enhancing access for children who live with a chronic disease. She has training and skills in quantitative and qualitative research, as well as quality improvement methodologies.
