Alan Gerber, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in the Division of Neuropsychology at Children’s National Hospital and an assistant professor in the departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Stony Brook University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center.

Dr. Gerber specializes in conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents from early childhood through young adulthood at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. His research focuses on improving mental health outcomes and overall quality of life for autistic individuals by improving treatment approaches. By integrating research and clinical practice, Dr. Gerber is committed to advancing autism care and providing families with effective, personalized support.
