About the Provider
Sarah Benett, MD, is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellow at Children's National. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed pediatric residency training at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Dr. Benett selected Children's National because of its high-volume emergency department, diverse patient population, and support for global health work. Her academic interests include global health, simulation and curriculum development. Prior to medical school, she worked in Uganda, where she met her husband. Outside of medicine, she enjoys soccer, hiking and baking.
Fellows are fully credentialed, board-certified providers who can independently practice medicine but are in further training in their specialty. This specialty training is under the supervision of an attending physician.
