About the Provider

Margarita Ramos, MD, MEd, MS, is a pediatric hospitalist and assistant professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University. She completed her residency and chief residency at Children’s National, with a concentration in medical education. Prior to completing a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine, she spent two years working as a newborn hospitalist and served as nursery site director for the 3rd year medical student pediatric clerkship at George Washington University. She has a master's degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University and a Master's in Education with a health professions focus from George Washington University.

Dr. Ramos currently serves as an associate medical education director and director of the Howard University Medical Student Inpatient Rotation, as well as the associate program director for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship at Children's National. She also serves on the inaugural APPD LESSON Advisory Committee, overseeing the development and dissemination of educational resources to advance the training of future pediatricians. Her scholarly interests include equity in medical education, supporting the personal and professional development of medical students and resident trainees, and health services research surrounding children with medical complexity.
