About the Provider
Katherine Ritter, MD, is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellow at Children's National. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and completed pediatric residency training at Children's National. After training at Children's National during residency, Dr. Ritter chose to remain because of the department's patient volume, broad spectrum of pathology and dedicated mentorship. Her academic interests include quality improvement and patient safety. Outside of medicine, she is a fan of cheese boards.
Fellows are fully credentialed, board-certified providers who can independently practice medicine but are in further training in their specialty. This specialty training is under the supervision of an attending physician.
